Lasha Bugadze (Tbilisi, 1977) studied at Tbilisi Iakob Nikoladze Art College (Department of painting and graphics) between 1991 and 1994. From 1994 to 1999 he studied Playwriting at the Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli Theatre Institute. During that time he was also enrolled in the Tbilisi Ivane Javakhishvili State University (Art Department). Currently, Bugadze works as a playwright for the Kote Marjanishvili State Theatre.  Aside from that, he produces and anchors literary TV and Radio programmes for the Georgian Public Broadcasting Company. Bugadze is also a columnist for the magazine Liberal and the newspaper 24 Saati.  He is the author of 4 novels and numerous plays.  Works by Bugadze have been published in Georgian, Russian, Armenian, French, German, Polish and English.

- Literature Award ‘Tsinandali’ for the best play of the year (Otari, 1999)
- Literature Award SABA for the best short story of the year (Nugzar and the Mephistopheles, 2003)
- The Award of Georgian Theatrical Figures Union for the short story Nugzar and the Mephistopheles (2004)
- ‘The Bestseller of the Year’ Award from the bookstores chain ‘Parnasi’ for the novel The last Bell (2005)
- Literature Award SABA for the novel The Golden Age (2006)

ლაშა ბუღაძე (თბილისი, 1977 წ.) 1991–1994 წლებში სწავლობდა თბილისის ი. ნიკოლაძის სახელობის სამხატვრო კოლეჯში (ფერწერა-გრაფიკის სახელოსნოში), 1994–1999 წლებში კი – შ. რუსთაველის სახელობის თეატრალური ინსტიტუტის კინოდრამატურგიის ფაკულტეტზე. იმავდროულად ირიცხებოდა თბილისის ივ. ჯავახიშვილის სახელობის სახელმწიფო უნივერსიტეტის ხელოვნების კათედრაზეც. დღეს ის დრამატურგია კოტე მარჯანიშვილის სახელობის სახელმწიფო თეატრში. საქართველოს საზოგადოებრივი მაუწყებლის სატელევიზიო და რადიოეთერში უძღვება ლიტერატურულ გადაცემებს. აქვეყნებს სვეტებს ჟურნალ „ლიბერალში“ და გაზეთ „24 საათში“. არის ავტორი 4 რომანისა და უამრავი პიესისა. მისი ნაშრომები ნათარგმნია რუსულ, სომხურ, ფრანგულ, გერმანულ, ინგლისურ და პოლონურ ენებზე.
