On Monday the 26th of September, citybooks Graz kicked off at the Literaturhaus Graz . Authors Simone Lenaerts, Werner Schandor, Milena M. Flašar, Onno Kosters and Andrea Stift read from their work. Lea Titz’s photos of Graz for citybooks were shown at an exhibition from 27.09 to 09.10.2011.

The co-organization in Graz is next, Verein für zeitgenössische Kunst. De residencies are provided by the Literaturhaus Graz.

 

next – Verein für bildende Kunst ist auf die Konzeption und Durchführung zeitgenössischer internationaler artists in residence Projekte spezialisiert. Den temporären Ateliers und dem jeweiligen Thema entsprechend werden KünstlerInnen aus verschiedenen Disziplinen zur Zusammenarbeit eingeladen. Dabei ergibt sich eine Durchmischung von sehr jungen bis hin zu erfahrenen KünstlerInnen. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Kooperation mit KünstlerInnen aus dem südosteuropäischen Raum.

next – Verein für bildende Kunst specializes in the conception and organization of international contemporary artists in residence projects. Artists working in various disciplines fitting the temporary ateliers and respective themes are invited. Both young and upcoming artists as experienced artists take part in the projects. next also stimulates the cooperation with artists from Southeast-Europe. Intercultural dialogue and cooperation is a main point of interest.

 

Friday the 11th of May 2012, at 19:30, the citybooks Graz will be presented at the designHalle Graz . The authors will read their citybooks, the photo's of Lea Titz are exhibited, the City One Minutes Graz are presented, and the book launch of the citybooks Graz book will take place.
